I finally got internet access!!!
The past few days have been so dull and boring w/o the net):
I went into Usha's (my housemate) room at 7 plus yesterday, lamenting that I have no life.

I have not been sleeping as much as I did back in Singapore.
Its probably because the day gets all bright and sunny as early as 5 plus, 6am.
It makes you more awake I suppose.

Today is the school's freshman welcome day.
Its held at 正大体育馆 .
Seriously, I swear that the locals are super patriotic.
They sing their anthem and school song with pride and gusto.
I am glad I went, at least for now I know that yes, I am part of Fudan.

We are grouped into houses.
Red is 腾飞书院
Blue is克卿书院
Green is志得书院(I'm in it)
Orange is任重书院
The names are supposedly named after the forefathers?
Though I think it sounds a lil obiang. Oops.

I have gotten my timetable and I am happy with it(:
Mons and Tues are super free. Only have night lessons.
Only Weds are packed.

Will be returning back to Singapore during October
as there will be this one week long break in lieu of National Day in China.
I am so lookin' forward to it!
Although I am adapting well to life here,
I still miss home.
The people are just of different frequencies. Hmm..

I am not going to have internet access at home for one whole week as it needs some time for the person to come and install the modem and stuffs):
Luckily, there is 网吧 (Internet Cafe) near our apartment so we can still surf the net atonly 2.50 RMB/hr (S$0.50)My roommates and I moved in yesterday.
We cleaned the place till around 2am.
Its really tedious and so I finally understood how hard is it for housewives.

I overslept so I did not go to school today.
There is some class photo-taking thing going on.
Really weird.
'Forcing' strangers to take a class photo together.
I thought class photos are usually taken at the end of the semester?
I hate the orientation stuffs as I think us, foreigners really stick out like sore thumbs.
Oh well, I am not usually the anti-social kind.
Its really hard to explain, you all will know it if you were here.

Like what I told my parents,
I am not at all concerned and bothered about making friends here.
I will just concentrate on attending lectures conscientiously and keeping in touch with my friends back in SG.
My aim is to get a degree;not to socialise.

Well, of course I don't mind making friends, but I wouldn't want to TRY you see.
Luckily I still have some SG friends here with me. phew.
There are a few times I regretted my decision.
I tossed and turned in bed at night,
wanting to just pack my luggage and return back to SG.
For now, I just hope that the process of my thoughts will swing like a pendulum
and eventually slow down and stop.
I will survive eventually!
I wanna control my spending over here so I can go back to SG as often as possible.

Went sightseeing yesterday.
We cabbed down to the town area.
The place is really urbanised.
Basically, I think the food here is worth looking forward to cuz its cheap and good.
I am so into Korean cuisine these few days.
Fashion wise, not really that appealing to me.
Singapore's is much better.
Shall post up the pictures when I uploaded it.

Anyway, things are getting better though mood swings during sleep time are still inevitable.
Maybe I still need some time to adapt to it.
I miss my family and friends):
There is supposedly this ten day long holiday in view of National Day during October.
I may be coming back to Singapore though its really a waste of flight fees to come back so often.

Had class meeting today.
The locals are super punctual.
When I reached there on the dot, almost all are already seated.
So you know, those who arrived late are sure to be foreign students.
The culture is really rather different.
Usually in S'pore, during talks, students are bound to talk among themselves.
However, local students are all so attentive that I have no one to talk to):
That's why I did not make many friends except for a Korean student.
I guess its because we are not used the culture and decided that we need to talk.
He can speak almost perfect Chinese, but its still weird speaking Chinese to a Korean.

However, the faculty talk was much better.
Managed to know a few other friends(:

Someone was right! I really couldn't access wretch server from here):
That explains the reason why I am left with no choice but to move here instead.
Anyway, life is pretty hectic these few days.I am left with no time to indulge in 胡思乱想. Haha.
First was to register for admission into the school.
Next was to look for an apartment to stay in.Its such a hassle but luckily we mananged to find one good place which is near the school and shopping(:
Moving in on Monday!

Anyway, I need to get a bike soon.
All the walking this 2 days are killing me!
I did not know that the school, made up of different buildings, are actually scattered all around the place, which makes travelling by foot really tedious.
There is actually still one thing to be happy about.
Cabs are really accessible and cheap here.
The meter will start at 11RMB(S$2.20) but the good thing is the meter takes ages to jump.
Its great, but we couldn't possibly take cabs everyday, therefore a bike is essential.

Shanghai seems to be very into Hello Kitty.
Can easily find related stuffs almost everywhere.Price is pretty reasonable too!*claps*
Will go sightseeing today.Lookin forward to it(:Ta-ta!
