Met up with Steph and Jasmine yesterday.
I seriously missed all the Singlish and dialects.Hah.
We went to catch 'My Best Friend's Girl'.
Its quite an entertaining show anyway.
We were lucky enough to come across the F1 event.
It was making such a deafening bedlam!
Managed to catch a glimpse or 2 of the racing cars.
That why I say the free-rider problem is inevitable.
Subsequently we grew so tired of the noise
and I start to quote our pet-phrase
"够了,我跟你讲够了hor!"

And there is the big hoo-ha about the milk scare.
Which means all the dairy products at home should go to the bin.
Its better to be safe than sorry, I guess.
No more yogurt in the meantime):
I managed to sit through Sociology today,
'irritating' the class with my incessant coughing. Haa.
Sometimes,it is so irritating as the classroom can get so warm when they try their very best to conserve energy by standardising the temp at 27 degrees.
I really cross my fingers that they would not scrimp on the heater during winter,
or else I think we will all freeze to death.
Hung out at Starbucks with Weixuan after class.
The Double Vanilla Latte was good(:
It was supposed to be under 'daily offer',
but they wrote it as 'daily offerings'.
Sounds quite wrong, like making offerings to God=P
We sat there for hours I guess,
and had a nice long chat while waiting for YY and Leon to join us for dinner.

I know I still have sore throat, but who would be able to resist good food?

Her 辣炒年糕surpasses all those I have tasted so far(:
Anyway, there's 3 freakin' period of Sociology tomorrow):
I feel so depressed at the thought of it.
I feel like bringing Twilight to class to read:p
Did I mention that I am so into the Twilight saga now?
I know I am abit slow, and I 'refuse' to believe Mun when she says the saga is super nice.
Well then, I suppose its still not too late, isn't it?
Edward Cullen is like so so so attractive!
I am looking forward to the movie.

My sore throat and cough aggravated to a high fever so I stayed in bed the whole of yesterday.
I tried nursing myself but things seemed not to be getting any better so I got Usha to accompany me to see a doctor in the evening.
It so happened that there are no clinics, only hospitals.
By evening time, only the emergency units were opened.
(I don't think having a fever is an emergency)
I decided to forsake the thought of going in as I did not want to chance upon any disturbing images.
Had to head back to Wanda to get stronger medicine instead.
It really sucked to fall sick in a foreign land:(
I don't even dare to tell my parents as Mum was already losing her appetite when she knew I had sore throat.
我好怀念以前的我。。。

I woke up with a sore throat and cough today.
Didn't really recall eating heaty stuffs..
Or maybe its the weather.
How I hope Autumn comes soon!The heat is killing me.
And so, today is pretty much uneventful.
I was abit pissed off by my lecturer.
The structure of Republic X was quite bad.
I wonder why does she insists on using Word rather than Powerpoint.
I remembered last week's Apology was good.
On a lighter note,no 高汉tomorrow!
Something to be happy about.
*coughs*
If my condition doesn't improve,
I'm skipping the amazing race on Saturday.

Residence permit done!
A load off my mind, finally..
We waited for freakin' long at the entry-exit bureau,
their organisation is BAD, from what I have observed.
Its totally not according to queue numbers issued.
That results in people cutting queues like nobody's business.
So irritating!
We proceeded to south bund to tailor-make our winter wear.
The winter wear are all so gorgeous!
I settled for this white trench coat with pink lining. Pretty! but abit expensive.

Today saw me waking up at a crazy hour of 5am.
It was supposed to be a public holiday in lieu of Mid-Autumn Festival
but we have to do the health verification so there goes my sleep.
Luckily we went there at 630am because we were already the no. 12th&13th.
(the thing was supposed to start at 830am)
One angmoh who came by jokingly questioned whether we camped there since last dawn.
Well..That's possible for the typical kiasu Singaporean.
Everything was done before 10 and we headed to town straight.
Retail therapy(:
Bought stuffs for Mum and Bro as well.
Anyway, we managed to cook dinner these 2 days.
No more oh-I-am-so-lazy kinda excuse.
I think my culinary skills have improved.
Cooking is quite fun!
My Korean housemate, Soyuri is a great cook.
She made this 蔬菜饼for us and it tastes really good!
She said she is gonna teach me how to make 辣炒年糕 and 紫菜包饭。
I totally love Korean cuisine(:
Home-made food is a necessity over here.
,unless you don't mind finding a thick layer of oil under your fried rice.
(This incident totally freaks me out)
Going down to Pudong area tomorrow to get my residence permit done.
What a hassle.
Sigh.

I am so pissed off with Facebook!
They disabled my account because of a stupid virus?!
I wonder if I can get it back.
Anyway, I feel so lethargic today.
The midnight KTV has proved its effect.
I seriously cannot stay throughout the night.
It is a once in a very blue moon thing.
Staying throughout the night makes me very emotional.(I wonder why)
I think its maybe the side effect of fatiguing
However, webcamming with cousins now really brightens up my day
I feel much better now(:

刚上完今天的第二堂课
<<文物赏析与体验>>
是堂不错的课，内容也相当精彩。
当然，最好的当然是只需交论文当考试，不必笔试。
老师可说妙语连珠，但怎么我都听不懂他的笑话？！
当全班都捧腹大笑的时候，好像只有我一脸郁闷。
课堂上认识了两位上海同学，
他们问起了新加坡的鞭刑制度。
没想到原来我们的鞭刑制度那么的‘红’。
上午上了留学生高级汉语。
其实它是我们在中学时期学的汉语。
老师讲课的速度简直*没话说*
好像两段课文要用一整堂课来讲。。。
班上大多数是韩国人。
我发现韩国人都非常时尚，
有一位同学长得很像东方神起的其中一个团员。(好像是有仟,yoochun)
他好像每次都穿得非常时尚，
感觉要去开演唱会似的^.^

Back from school!
I seriously feel like sleeping during Sociology
because I cannot really comprehend the professor's accent.
Goodness, its a 3 periods (2 and a half hours equivalent) lesson.
Despite wanting to drift off to slumberland,
I forced myself to take down notes to keep myself awake.
Some of the locals literally fell asleep,
but I wouldn't be surprised if they mug hard at home.
Looks like I have to read up more on my own.
It rained so heavily last Friday so I left my bike in school and walked back home.
Luckily it was still there when I went to get it this morning!
(coz there's quite a lot of bike thefts in school)
Actually I always feel reluctant about biking to school
because its not as safe as biking at East Coast.
Most of the time, I am walking together with my bike
which means that I might as well walk to school.
On a random note,
I think strawberry marshmallow can really lift my spirits
I have a fair supply in my room(:
Its almost dinner time now
but I am so lazy to cook....

I am so excited that I am coming home in another 20 days!
Mum was worried that I won't wanna return to Shanghai after I come home.
That's impossible(I hope).
Had one week of lessons and so far its relatively okay.
I just dislike the fact that I have to reach half an hour before every class starts.
It is so that you will be guaranteed a good seat.
However, I got to know some locals and we agreed to 'chop' seats for one another,
which means that I can afford to come later for classes and still get good seats!
I really gotta take my hat off some lecturers.
They can just stand in front of the class, w/o any powerpoint,script,etc
and just talk their way through a 2 hours lesson.
This is however to my disadvantage,
because I am just so used to taking down notes according to ppt slides,
and not according to verbal statements.
I guess its because we have been spoon-fed too much back in SG.
Independent learning really starts now.

Met up with YY on tuesday since both of us don't have lessons on that day.
We cabbed down to 七埔路 for shopping.
I knew we had been cabbing to almost everywhere,
but trust me, you wouldn't want to take the bus,
because we have to switch buses to get to the destination.
In the end, we wouldn't save much on transport cost either.
Well, there are just so many excuses to take the cab.
Its cheap, comfortable, ....
七埔路is this wholesale retail place where they sell SUPER cheap clothes.
I bought 4 items and only spent 30 plus Sing dollars!
The good thing is that the clothes are nice too.
However, the area is infested with salesman who sells imitations.
They will pester you, telling to buy 'lu weitong'(louis vitton) or 'china'(chanel).
We had a good laugh about that because its until later then we can comprehend what he had said.
After that, we chanced upon this 上海老街,
which is a totally cool place.

Wee~Its September already.
Time really flies and I have been in Shanghai for more than a week.
Well, things are significantly improving.
I have learnt to look on the brighter side of life.
就把这次的经历当成一场磨炼(：
Lessons officially starts today,
however, my Monday lessons starts at 6 plus.
thats why I still have the 闲情逸致 to come online,
while enjoying Mcdonalds breakfast(:
I think their delivery service is much more efficient than SG,
I guess its because there are so many branches around.
Their sausage mcmuffin with egg tastes nicer too!
Recently, I have been racking my brains about how to settle my meals.
I don't want to eat out everyday (food is rather oily, with lotsa msg)
and yet I cannot possibly cook maggi mee everyday(though its the easiest to prepare)
Its difficult to cook for one person, seriously.
